• CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS

    The daily classroom agenda includes (4) definitive sections of time. And, they are 1) I Can statement readings, which is what the teacher will be demonstrating, 2) teacher demonstration of the lesson, 3) student practice, and 4) reflection. It is the expectation that students will use their manners during the entire class.

     

    In the table below, you will see the expectations for student behavior during each of the (4) definitive times.

    This is also a time for students to ask questions about the teacher demonstration for further clarification if needed.

    • Compliments will be given by the teacher
    • Redirect up to 3 times during the quiet attentive times

     

    • 4th redirection – hallway for a few minutes to get refocused and to try again in the classroom

     

    • In some cases (depending upon the severity of the situation, a phone call to the parent may be made and/or a call to the principal for assistance.
