Welcome to school! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. This is my eighth year teaching Kindergarten; two years in Morrisville-Eaton and six years in my home district! I grew up on a dairy farm in Howard, where I currently reside, and left to attend Cornell University to earn a B.S. in Communication, with a minor in International Marketing and Business. I spent my first year out of college in Manhattan working for a public relations firm. After assessing my interests/goals, I left for Barcelona, Spain and took a course to become certified to Teach English as a Foreign Language. I spent several months teaching English to college students and came home to earn my teaching certification. I received my M.S. in Elementary Education from Alfred University in August 2003 and began a wonderful career of learning and educating.
I live with my husband and our 5 month old son, on our dairy farm, Lincolncrest. We have registered Ayrshire and Holstein cows and keep very busy! Aside from the dairy, I enjoy reading, hiking with our dog Holly, cooking, gardening, traveling and riding horses.
I am fortunate to have a career that I truly enjoy and hope that you and your child have a wonderful year. I look forward to being a partner in your child's education.
